New Delhi: Actor Sparsh Shrivastava, known for his role in the acclaimed movie ‘Laapataa Ladies’, shared an amusing anecdote about a video call from none other than Bollywood icon Aamir Khan. According to Sparsh, Aamir Khan called him after watching him on a Netflix series ‘Jamtara’.
Recently, the cast of ‘Laapataa Ladies’ sat down for a chat with Neelesh Misra for Netflix India. During the chat, Aamir Khan praised Sparsh Shrivastava's work in 'Laapataa Ladies' saying, “The way he has performed, my heart goes out to him.”
This prompted Sparsh to share his side of the story. He reminisced about a humorous episode involving a message from Aamir Khan, which he first mistook for a prank. Sparsh shared, “Actually, this is a funny story. So, he messaged me - ‘Hi sparsh, I am Amir Khan. I loved your work in ‘Jamtara’. I wish to talk to you.’ I thought why would Aamir Khan message me.”
He continued, “I thought it was fake. I thought I was being scammed. Then I told him to send me a voice note. Then he said he would video call me in a while. I said okay let’s give it a try. I was still thinking someone was fooling me.”
Recalling his video call with Aamir Khan, Sparsh said, “When I saw him, he was sitting right under a good light. His skin was glowing. He was wearing a cream shirt. I got excited”
