Kashmera Shah Reacts To Krushna Abhishek And Govinda's Reconciliation: 'The Best Birthday Gift'

The duo hugged it out on 'The Great Indian Kapil Show', marking a turning point in their strained relationship. Adding to the joyous occasion, Krushna’s wife, Kashmera Shah, described the reunion as the “best birthday gift” she could have received. 

Kashmera reacts to Govinda-Krushna reunion

On December 2, Kashmera shared her elation on Instagram, posting a clip from the show. The video featured Krushna dancing alongside Govinda on stage and later touching his uncle’s feet as a sign of respect before they embraced warmly. Kashmera captioned the post, "Best birthday gift you gave me @krushna30 @netflix @netflix_in @kapilsharma @govinda_herono1. Biggest wish has been granted. No complaints. Love you both and love my family @artisingh5 @dipakchauhan09." 

The heartfelt post drew celebratory comments from fans and industry peers alike. Actor Tannaz Irani commented, “Wow!! You deserve all the happiness in the world, my darling... Happy Happy Birthday, my hot one,” while actress Deepshikha Nagpal called it “a beautiful moment.” 

On the show, Krushna brought Govinda to the stage, where they danced to the evergreen track Filmon Ke Saare Hero. The audience cheered as the two shared a lighthearted moment, with Krushna declaring Govinda “Mama Number 1.” Govinda, in his signature humorous style, replied, “Are you buttering me up by calling me number 1?”

Govinda spoke candidly about the spat and said, "Ab main sach keh deta hoon (now let me tell you the truth). I became very upset with him one day. "What are these dialogues they make him write?" I asked.  My wife, Sunita said, ‘The whole film industry does this. Don’t say anything to Krushna. He is making money and let him do his work. Kisi ke liye aap stoppage nahi kijiye, kisi se wrong mat kijiye (Don’t stop someone, don’t do something wrong).’” 

This episode also featured actors Shakti Kapoor and Chunky Panday as guests. It is now streaming on Netflix. 

Govinda-Krushna feud

The feud between Krushna and Govinda dates back several years, fueled by a series of misunderstandings. Govinda expressed his dissatisfaction with Krushna’s jokes about his on-screen persona, while Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, distanced herself from Krushna’s family. The animosity escalated when Krushna accused Govinda of not visiting his children in the hospital, which Govinda countered by calling his nephew a liar. 

The reconciliation began earlier this year when Govinda attended Krushna’s sister Aarti’s wedding. After Govinda suffered an accidental gunshot wound in October and was hospitalized, Kashmera Shah visited him. Krushna, unable to attend due to an Australian tour, visited Govinda at his home upon returning.
