New Delhi: Sara Ali Khan threw a Diwali celebration at her home on Thursday in addition to the many parties being hosted by popular celebs this year. Kartik Aaryan, her co-star in Love Aaj Kal 2 and her ex-boyfriend, was also present. Kartik looked sharp with a clean-shaven appearance. He wore a bright yellow kurta, white pyjamas, and kolhapuris to the celebration. Ananya Panday and her beau Aditya Roy Kapur attended the celebration together after Ananya joined Sara on the Koffee With Karan couch.
A paparazzo video posted a clip of Kartik posing for pictures prior to going into the party. He did, however, pose for a little while before entering, instead of grinning broadly as he usually does.
Kartik's visit to Sara's Diwali celebration occurs only one day after her recent Koffee With Karan episode, during which she discussed breakups and admitted that it was "not always easy" to be friendly with someone you've previously dated.
Since they dated the same person once, Karan questioned them straight about Kartik Aaryan and whether it was easy for them to get along. Sara chose to respond to the question, however she focused mostly on relationships and breakups. She said, "“I don't want to say that ya, it's all easy because then it comes across as a little more frivolous than it is. It isn't always easy. When you are involved with anybody, whether it's friends, professionally, romantically, espically if I am, I get involved and invested. It is not like, ‘Oh yeah, it doesn’t really matter, whatever its today, whatever its tomorrow'. It's not like that. It does effect you. But ultimately you have to rise beyond that.”
She went on to say that making promises to someone that you won't ever talk to them again or that they would be your friend for eternity isn't the smartest move in the industry. “Something I have realised without sounding semi-negative, is that there are no permanent predicaments in this business. In my personal experience, there is no point making permanent best friendships, pinky promises, saying I'll never talk to you again. All these nevers and always nahi hota (doesn't happen)," she said.
