New Delhi: One of the regular guests on the chat show 'Koffee with Karan' is Shah Rukh Khan. He made appearances in the first three seasons, skipped from one, then reappeared to start the fifth. The host, Karan Johar, shared the details of his episode as fans eagerly await the actor's return in the most recent season following a phenomenal year at the box office.
Karan Johar revealed in a recent interview with Pinkvilla whether Shah Rukh will be making a comeback to Koffee with Karan Season 8 after missing the two previous installments.
“Shah Rukh is there, but I don't think he wants to be in the forefront. He deserves his silence. As fans and filmmakers, we should give him that,” Karan Johar said.
Last season, Shah Rukh did not appear, but his wife Gauri Khan showed up on the Koffee Couch. Meanwhile, in 2004, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, his co-star from three Karan Johar films, opened the first-ever episode of 'Koffee with Karan'. In the first episode of the second season, Rani Mukerji, who co-starred with both of them in 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', joined them. Shah Rukh had three appearances in the first season, once with Gauri in an episode that also included Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan, who were then a couple. In the season finale, he sat on the same couch as Amitabh Bachchan, his co-star in 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham'.
Sha Rukh Khan started Season 5 with Alia Bhatt, his 'Dear Zindagi' co-star, after his solo appearance in Season 3.
Celebrity couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will be featured in the first episode of 'Koffee with Karan' Season 8, which will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on Thursday at 12 a.m.
