New Delhi: After 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' in 2014 and 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' in 2017, Dharma production house is all set for another installment. This Karan Johar backed association with Varun Dhawan for the third time has been making quite some news.

While much speculation about the third installment has been making news, a recent report said that Alia Bhatt, who played the lead in both films, would be replaced by Jahnvi Kapoor. However, Karan Johar has now reacted to the same, asking the media 'to not conjecture about' the film.

Taking to his Instagram Stories on Friday, Karan Johar wrote, "Every morning I wake up to news that is not an official confirmation by Dharma Productions… would request members of the media to please not conjecture about the continuance of a franchise or the beginning of one! We will give details when the time and plans are formulated and fructified! We are humbled by the excitement shown to our future films but would love to have accuracy instead of speculation… Respectfully, Karan Johar.”

Earlier, a rpeort by peepingmoon.com stated that Alia Bhatt will not be a part of 'Dulhania 3' film. Instead, Janhvi Kapoor had replaced her to star opposute Varun Dhawan, who has already played the male lead in the earlier films.

Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan were seen together in 'Bawaal' in 2023.

The same portal also reported that Shashank Khaitan will be directing 'Dulhania 3' as well, adding that the film 'will have a different plot and characters and is in no way connected to the previous parts'.

The report also added that the pre-production for the film had already begun and that it will go on floors in the next few months after Varun Dhawan wraps up shooting for Atlee's 'Theri' remake.

The report in peepingmoon.com came out after the KWK episode featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Karan Johar where the lattter teased Janhvi about a project they were not allowed to talk about.
