New Delhi: Kajol has spoken out about the iconic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) poster, in which a beaming Shah Rukh Khan is pictured holding a smiling Kajol. The actress admitted to being quite concerned for Shah Rukh in an interview with Curly Tales, but claimed that he didn't make her feel heavy at all. However, he had a frozen shoulder following their photo shoot, she added.

Together, Kajol and Shah Rukh have appeared in a number of blockbusters, with 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' being their most cherished cult classic. The DDLJ image, which featured Shah Rukh hoisting Kajol onto his shoulder, is one of the most recognisable posters and can even be seen hanging on the walls of certain major movie theatres.

Talking about the iconic DDLJ poster during her interview with the Curly Tales, Kajol said, " One thing that comes to my mind is how I got into that position by the way. Ek toh bechara Shah Rukh kandhe pe uthaake... mujhe itna bura lag raha tha uske liye, itna bura lag raha tha (Poor Shah Rukh was standing with me on his shoulder, I was feeling so bad for him). I was like, ‘are you sure you can do this?’ He said, ‘Don’t worry, I am strong.' I was like, ‘ya, but you have to carry me on your shoulder. Will you be able to?'"

Although Kajol agreed that it looked very effortless, she also mentioned what happened after the photoshoot. "I was really worried about him. I think he took a hit onto his masculinity that ‘How can you say that to me? I am a guy.' He very sweetly carried me and didn't make me feel heavy at all… Later, there was frozen shoulder. Us waqt tha ‘wow’ (that time it was wow).”

Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan are one of the most celebrated and iconic jodis of Bollywood, who have a number of hits to their credit, including 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', 'Baazigar', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham', among others.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan currently has the nation roaring as he gears up for the release of his next high-octane action drama 'Jawan.' Kajol has been earning accolades for her performance in the courtroom drama 'The Trial' and will be seen next in 'Do Patti' with Kriti Sanon in her maiden production.
