Kajol Devgan On Playing Dual Roles Ahead Of Do Patti Release: ‘It’s Like Changing Clothes…’

Kajol Devgan spoke about the ease of playing dual roles and how an acclaimed and veteran actor like herself does not find it difficult.

Kajol Devgan and Kriti Sanon will soon be seen together in 'Do Patti' on Netflix. The thriller, produced by Kriti Sanon, is being promoted actively. At one such interaction, Kajol Devgan spoke about the ease of playing dual roles and how an acclaimed and veteran actor like herself does not find it difficult.

For those unaware, Kajol played a double role in ‘Dushman’ and in the comedy ‘Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi’. In an interaction with Netflix India, Kajol spoke abouther experience of playing dual roles in films. 

She said, "I think, the minute you change your clothes, to itna waqt nahi rehta hai. But, you just have to be a little aware that aap us line ko cross nahi kr rahe between the two roles."( It's as easy as changing clothes because in actuality there is not much time to be given to it. You just have to be aware that you are not crossing the lines between the two roles).

Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon, who is playing a dual role in ‘Do Patti’ said, "For me, the dual role was so tough because 70% of the scenes I had with me, another me in it. Usually, if you watch a Seeta Geeta or whatever, ek ki kahaani kahi aur chal rahi hai, ek ki kahi aur, end mein mil jate hai, climax mein. Idhar 70% of the kahaani, there was one more person. (For me, the dual role was really challenging because 70% of the scenes involved having another version of myself in them. Usually, in films like Seeta Geeta, one story is happening somewhere else while the other is happening somewhere else, and they come together at the climax. Here, 70% of the story involved another person.)"

"So, when you are marking both the things, you can't really be spontaneous in terms of kuch aur hi kar diya.  You have to mark the other person's performance also before you start doing your own work,” Sanon added.
