New Delhi: Janhvi Kapoor, who is thrilled about her upcoming film ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’, had an unexpected encounter during a recent interview with her co-star Rajkummar Rao. Rajkummar made an unexpected comment when the actress was sharing a funny story from her school days.

Janhvi Kapoor mentioned her time in the school choir and how her microphone was purposefully turned off. Janhvi laughed about how nepotism has advantaged her. In an interview with Mirchi Plus, she shared, “The mic in front of my face was switched off intentionally. The woman said ‘Janhvi ke saamne vale mic ko off karo’ (Turn off the mic in front of Janhvi.)’’

With a mischievous smile, Rajkummar said, "Rakha kyu bechari ko fir? Mana kar dete ( For what reason did they keep the poor girl in the choir? They could’ve declined.)”

Janhvi jokingly said, "Nepotism, of course. Isliye toh rakha tha mujhe choir mein. (That’s why they kept me).”

Rajkummar Rao’s Reply to Janhvi Kapoor’s Nepotism Joke

After Janhvi’s nepotism joke, Rajkummar made an epic comeback. He said, "Fir toh theek hai. Fir toh kaash zindagi mein bhi hum bahut saare mics off kar pate (Then it is fine. Then, I wish we could do many mix offs in life too.)”

Instantly reassuring Janhvi asked if this remark was a taunt for her. The actress asked, “Is that a taunt to me?”
