The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has issued a summons to Rakhi Sawant, requiring her to record her statement on February 27. On February 24, Ashish Chanchlani and Ranveer Allahabadia are scheduled to do the same. Samay Raina requested an extension until March 17, but Maharashtra Cyber has denied the request, according to Yashasvi Yadav, IG of Maharashtra Cyber.


As per news agency ANI, Maharashtra Cyber Cell has sent summons for Rakhi Sawant. "Rakhi Sawant has been called by Maharashtra Cyber ​​to record her statement on February 27."


 






 


How is Rakhi Sawant involved in India's Got Latent case?


For the unversed, Rakhi Sawant also co-judged an episode of 'India's Got Latent' where she had a heated discussion with co-judge Maheep Singh. Rakhi even threw a chair in a fit of rage before walking off stage. Before leaving, she even passed some comments about the other judges Maheep Singh and Samay Raina. 


While it has remained clear, if this was all planned, the video of Rakhi went viral from the YouTube comedy show. However, in the light of recent controversy involving Ranveer Allahbadia's parentel intercourse remark, Rakhi Sawant appealed to the audiences to forgive Beer Biceps. 


Rakhi had commented, "Forgive him yaar. It’s okay happen, sometimes forgive him. I know he did wrong, but forgive him.” 


Samay Raina receives summons from Maharashtra Cyber Cell 


Meanwhile, Comedian Samay Raina also received a second summon from the Maharashtra Cyber Cell on Thursday, February 20, 2025. The authorities are seeking to record his statement as part of the ongoing investigation.


Previously, Raina was summoned to appear before the Maharashtra Cyber Cell on February 18 to provide his statement. However, he failed to appear on the given date.


As a result, the Maharashtra Cyber Department has decided to issue another summons today, requiring Raina’s presence for further inquiry into the matter.


It all started when Ranveer Allahbadia’s comment on Samay’s show sparked outrage online. The comment quickly went viral, leading to multiple FIRs being filed against both Samay and Ranveer. In response to the backlash, Samay removed all episodes of India’s Got Latent from his YouTube channel.
