New Delhi: Actor Gufi Paintal, who played the popular character Shakuni Mama in BR Chopra's famous serial 'Mahabharat', is currently stable and his health condition has improved.
Last week, Gufi Paintal was admitted to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri due to age-related illness, where he is undergoing treatment.
Talking about the current health condition of Gufi Paintal, his actor nephew Hiten Paintal told ABP News that his uncle is still kept under observation in ICU, but already a lot of improvement is being seen in his health and now the yesteryear actor's condition is stable.
Hiten Paintal told that his uncle Gufi Paintal was already suffering from heart and kidney related problems and various diseases for a long time.
According to media reports, Gufi's health has been declining for quite some time, but things took a turn for the worst on May 31. After then, he was rushed to the hospital.
On Instagram, Tina Ghai shared a post concerning Gufi Paintal's health. She also requested fans to offer prayers for his recovery. She wrote, "“Just like there's always time for pain, there's always time for healing.” “ Keep praying friends 🙏 Miracles happen"
Apart from 'Mahabharata', Gufi Paintal has also worked in many serials like 'Law', 'Sauda', 'Akbar Birbal', 'Om Namah Shivay', 'Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuen', 'Karna Sangini', 'Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki'.
Apart from working in many popular serials, Gufi Paintal also worked in some Hindi films, including 'Raffu Chakkar', 'Dillagi', 'Des Pardes', 'Maidan-e-Jung', 'Dawa', 'The Revenge: Films like 'Gita Mera Naam', 'Ghoom', 'Samrat and Company.'
His full name is Sarabjit Gufi Paintal.
