New Delhi: After filming his forthcoming movie 'Welcome To The Jungle', Shreyas Talpade had a heart attack in Mumbai on Thursday and had to get an angioplasty. Filmmaker Soham Shah, Shreyas' friend, said in an interview with The Times of India that the actor will be discharged from Bellevue Hospital in Mumbai, where he has been receiving treatment since Thursday.

Hindi film director Soham told the portal that the actor might be released on "Sunday night or Monday morning".

“In all likelihood, he (Shreyas Talpade) is likely to be discharged Sunday night or Monday morning... I visited him on the same night he was taken to hospital and I was there today (Friday). It was a big relief to see Shreyas smiling and talking with me, being back to himself," he said.

Talking more about how Shreyas Talpade's wife Deepti Shreyas Talpade was highly influential in making sure her husband received the timely medical attention he needed following a heart attack, Soham said, "He was filled with gratitude and blessings that he was timely taken care of. Thanks to his wife Deepti, who had amazing presence of mind and took the right decisions at the right time. They both have felt divine intervention that he was revived back, as it was a very challenging time to reach the hospital battling the traffic. Thank God he's recovering well and everyone's best wishes are with him."

Deepti had stated earlier on Friday via an Instagram statement that her husband's condition was stable and he was recovering well from the surgery. He had a heart attack and needed angioplasty.

On the work front, with a huge ensemble cast that includes Shreyas, 'Welcome to the Jungle' will feature Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta, Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, Rahul Dev, and the singer-brothers Daler Mehndi and Mika Singh.
