New Delhi: Popularly known as Bollywood's "serial kisser," Emraan Hashmi recently shared a touching and funny promise with his wife. In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Live, the actor was there to promote his upcoming series, ‘Showtime’. He shared many fun anecdotes and how he and his wife handled Emraan's daring performances in films.
Emraan Hashmi said that his wife Parveen Shahani has always been against his kissing on camera. He made a pact with her to purchase her a handbag whenever they kissed on-screen. He shared, “Zyada sehmat nahi thi jo cheejein mai kar raha tha on-screen. I struck a deal so to speak with my wife. Ki har kiss ke liye mai ek handbag kahirdunga aapke liye. Obviously, women like handbags a lot because she let me kiss on-screen. (She did not agree much with the things I was doing on screen. So, I struck a deal so to speak with my wife. I will buy a handbag for every kiss).”
He added that, “Poora cuboard hai humaare ghar pe (We have a full cupboard at home).”
Emraan Hashmi got married to Parveen Shahani in 2006.
Emraan Hashmi On Rejecting Mouth Freshener Ads
Emraan Hashmi also talked about why he used to reject mouth freshener advertisements. He was asked if he had ever been approached by any mouth fresher company. To which, Emraan replied, “I have rejected a lot of people because they came to me when I had to change my image and I said that if I do this, I will get stuck again. A lot of people come every year to offer mouth freshener ads. You know, it becomes a caricature of yourself. So, I do not want to get into that.”
