New Delhi: In a delightful meeting bridging talents from both the UK and India, Bollywood luminary Ayushmann Khurrana warmly greeted iconic musician Ed Sheeran to India with a thoughtful gesture – his mother's handmade Pinni! Ayushmann, known for his multifaceted talents and cultural ambassadorship, embodied the spirit of "Athithi Devo Bhava" as he welcomed Ed Sheeran to the country. The renowned musician, currently in India for his tour, was deeply touched by this heartfelt gesture from Ayushmann.


Expressing his admiration for Ed Sheeran, Ayushmann shared, “I have admired Ed Sheeran as an artiste for years now. As a fellow musician, I have always wanted to connect with him and discuss how his mind works. I  surprised him with my mother’s homemade Pinni! This is how we have always welcomed anyone at our home. Ed is in India, our country, to entertain us. He is at our home and we need to tell him how much we love him and his music too. So, I hope this gift will be a memorable one!”

Ed Sheeran’s India Tour


Grammy-winning British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has kicked off his highly anticipated India tour with a heartwarming visit to a local school. The 33-year-old musician dedicated his initial day in India to connecting with students and spreading musical joy.


Sharing glimpses of his school visit on Instagram Reels, Ed Sheeran delighted fans with his interaction with enthusiastic students. In one clip, the singer expressed his excitement about the day's activities, remarking,  "So, just arrived in Mumbai, India. We are going to be visiting some schools today, playing some songs. I also heard that the kids have something to play for me as well." 






This visit marks the beginning of Ed Sheeran's India tour, culminating in a highly anticipated concert in Mumbai on March 16th at the Mahalaxmi Race Course Grounds. As part of his +–=÷× Tour (Mathematics), Ed is set to enthrall audiences with his signature blend of soulful melodies and captivating performances across Asia and Europe in 2024.
