New Delhi: Vidya Balan, acclaimed for her versatility and dedication to her craft, recently took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about her immersive experience during the promotion of Sujoy Ghosh's 'Kahaani' (2012). Vidya Balan was recalling this incident in a conversation on Mashable India's 'The Bombay Journey'. She was accompanied by her ‘Do Aur Do Pyar’ co-actor, Pratik Gandhi.
Vidya Balan revealed the extraordinary lengths she went to promote the film, including the daunting task of giving 53 interviews a day, all while wearing a prosthetic pregnant belly. She shared, “There was a time during ‘Kahaani’, I did 53 interviews a day. That's my record. I'm talking about video interviews, wearing the pregnant stomach. I had all sorts of fun during the interviews.”
Bringing up the topic of how promoting used to be different, she recalled, “We used to promote for a month. Now, it has reduced a lot. Earlier, we used to go on all TV shows but since the pandemic, everything has changed.”
Pratik Gandhi added, “Everything has gone digital. So hopefully, with all the digital platforms, we reach a maximum number of people.”
