New Delhi: Actor and Congress leader Divya Spandana’s death rumours started doing the rounds on the internet on Wednesday. The actor has now debunked her death rumours. There was a tweet that stated that the actor had died due to a heart attack.
Divya spoke to The News Minute and refuted rumours of her death. “Who the hell is saying I died?” Spandana told the news portal’s editor-in-chief Dhanya Rajendran.
Dhanya also tweeted, “Just spoke to @divyaspandana. She is in Geneva and was sleeping peacefully till calls came in. Whoever the irresponsible person was who tweeted this and the news organisations that put it out as news flash, shame on you.”
Her other tweet read, “It was really the strangest conversation, kept calling @divyaspandana and she didnt pick first few times and naturally I was panicking. Finally, she did and I had to say-I am glad you are alive, She is like who the hell is saying I died! #DivyaSpandana.”
Another journalist also posted a picture with Divya from Geneva and wrote, “Wonderful meeting the very talented and genteel lady @divyaspandana for dinner in Geneva. We talked about many things including our love for Bangalore.”

It all started with a tweet from X account @johnsoncinepro who tweeted that Divya Spandana had passed away on September 6 morning. “Shocking news: Actor Divya Spandan passes away. Dies due to heart attack.”
Tamil Nadu Congress then clarifies in a tweet that Divya is absolutely fine. “Our beloved former Social Media Chairperson Divya Spandana is ABSOLUTELY FINE. Rumors and some TV channel news are 100% WRONG,” the tweet read.
Divya Spandana, also known by her stage name Ramya, has worked in films like Abhi, Kuthu, Vaaranam Aayiram, Polladhavan, Ranga S. S. L. C, and Aakash.
She quit films in 2003 to pursue a career in politics. She returned to the film industry in 2016 with the movie Nagarahavu.
