New Delhi: In a few months, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will welcome their first child. Anisha Padukone recently talked about her thoughts over her sister- and brother-in-law's future child in an interview with iDiva. The CEO of the mental health organisation Live Love Laugh Foundation, which Deepika founded in 2015, and a professional golfer, respectively, both talked candidly about "spoiling" the child.
Anisha Padukone On Deepika-Ranveer pregnancy
When Anisha Padukone was asked about becoming an aunt, she said, “Great, great… first-time feeling."
About spoiling Ranveer-Deepika’s child, Anisha said, “Spoil? It’s a tough one. I want to say Ranveer, but I have a sneaky feeling that my parents (Prakash Padukone and Ujjala Padukone) are also going to be right up there.”
Anisha also added that she herself could end up spoiling Deepika’s baby.
Deepika-Ranveer pregnancy
After dating for six years, Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in 2018. On February 29, she shared her pregnancy on Instagram. They stated that their child would be born in September 2024. The 38-year-olds Deepika and Ranveer exchanged vows in a small-scale wedding ceremony near Lake Como, Italy.
The soon-to-be parents were present at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's lavish three-day pre-wedding celebration in Jamnagar, Gujarat, at the beginning of March. On social media, the images and videos they posted of themselves with the Ambani family and other famous visitors went viral.
Deepika hinted at her eagerness to become a mother in a January 2024 interview with Vogue Singapore, saying, “Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family.”
“In this industry, it’s easy to get carried away by fame and money. But no one treats me like a celebrity at home. I am a daughter and a sister first. I don’t want that to change. My family keeps me grounded and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children.” She added.
