New Delhi: Popular actor from the TV show CID Dinesh Phadnis is no more. Dinesh Phadnis, who played the famous character of CID officer Fredericks in Sony TV's popular crime show 'CID', breathed his last at 12.08 am on Monday night in Thunga Hospital, Kandivali. He was 57 years old.
Dinesh Phadnis died due to multiple organ failure.
Dayanand Shetty, who played the character of Daya in CID and is a very close friend of Dinesh Phadnis, told ABP News that Dinesh was suffering from liver, heart and kidney problems and his complications kept increasing day by day.
Dinesh Phadnis was admitted to Thunga Hospital in Kandivali on 30th November.
Dinesh Phadnis's last rites will be performed at Daulat Nagar cremation ground in Borivali shortly.
For over twenty years, Dinesh was a part of 'CID' as Fredericks aka Freddy. Actor Shivaji Satam played the lead role of ACP Pradyuman in CID, one of the longest-running television series in India, which premiered in 1998.
Along with his work on 'CID', Dinesh also had a short appearance in the hit TV show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'. He has also appeared in supporting parts in a handful of films, such as 'Sarfarosh' and 'Super 30'.
