New Delhi: The Akkineni International Foundation hosts the ANR National Awards every year to honour exceptional achievements in Indian film, and Amitabh Bachchan had the privilege of congratulating fellow actor Chiranjeevi at this year's ceremony. Many people were captivated by the sight of the two renowned actors performing together this year.
Annapurna Studios posted multiple photos and videos from the awards, one of which shows Chiranjeevi receiving the prestigious award from megastar and chief guest Amitabh Bachchan. As a gesture of respect after receiving the award, Chiranjeevi bent down to touch Bachchan's feet at the event. It was clear from the scene how much the two legends respect one another. To add to the importance of the event, Amitabh gave a shawl and a trophy to Chiranjeevi.

In an emotional address, Amitabh Bachchan thanked Akkineni Nageswara Rao and acknowledged the influence of Telugu film. He said, “Namsakar. It is very difficult to stand here and say anything after what we have seen, heard and observed. I must express my extreme gratitude to Akkineni Nageswara Rao Foundation to give me this privilege to be here with all of you this evening. I express my gratitude to Akkineni Nageswara Rao for bringing to life that is seen on earth and give so much joy in entertainment and culture. Nag, to you and your family I want to express my gratitude for living up to the legacy that your respected father left all of us.”
Chiranjeevi Expresses Gratitude
In a heartfelt tweet, Chiranjeevi celebrated receiving the prestigious ANR National Award by thanking the Akkineni family. He wrote, “Blessed and Elated to receive the prestigious ‘ANR National Award’ named after the Doyen Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu, in his centenary year, through the hands of my Forever Guru @SrBachchan Amit Ji.”
He added, “Grateful to every member of the Akkineni Family, Members of Akkineni International Foundation ,especially Shri. T Subbaramireddy garu, and my dearest brother and friend @iamnagarjuna.”
Chiranjeevi concluded, “Forever indebted to each and everyone who contributed to my cinematic journey and each of my milestones.”
