New Delhi: Actor Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor appeared on the latest episode of 'Koffee With Karan' Season 8 recently. During the episode, the Kapoor sisters spoke about how their father and producer Boney Kapoor is a woke man and has become increasingly 'cool' over the years. During the episode, when Karan Johar spoke aboutthe generation gap between them and their 'traditional' father, Janhvi said, "He has become quite cool now. We shocked him a lot. Now he is shocking us!”
When Karan Johar asked if he was comfortable hanging out with their boyfriend, Janhvi Kapoor avoided acknowledging her relationship, and said, "He is hanging out with our ‘friends’. Now I am feeling like he is from a generation that’s not been born yet. Because I am not prepared for how woke he is.”
Jahnvi Kapoor is dating Shikhar Pahariya while Khushi Kapoor is reportedly dating her Archies co-star Vedang Raina.
Karan Johar also spoke about how Boney Kapoor's Instagram is "full of his own airport looks” to which the Kapoor sisters emphasised that he takes them very seiously. Janhvi alos added that before the pictures are put out on social media, they get them on their family WhatsApp group. "You all get the filtered version on Instagram, we get 50-60 images. He sends his own images! He spams us. I am surprised you haven’t gotten his images, he sends them to everyone. I have gone for work meetings, and the director/producer’s phone has been buzzing and it's not like this person is close to my dad. He is like, ‘How funny. Your dad just messaged. He has sent me… Nice new shoes.’ I am like, ‘Yes sir, can we now get back to talking’.”
During the same coversation, Karan Johar also addeed that he had heard Boney Kapoor was upset that he was not shown in the trailer of the Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar', which marked his acting debut.
To this, Janhvi Kapoor replied, "Ya. He felt like, ‘Wohi toh selling point hai tumhari film ki, mujhe he nahi dikhaya!"
“He was playing himself. I went on sets and there were 13 suitcases of only his clothes which he had gotten from home. He styled himself, he wears these clothes in real life.” Khushi Kapoor added while Janhvi mentioned that he made sure to include this in his contract.
