New Delhi: Gurugram Police has arrested a man from Gujarat in connection with an extortion call to Big Boss OTT 2 winner and YouTuber Elvish Yadav. Elvish had filed a complaint on November 25 saying that he received a call from an unknown caller demanding Rs 1 crore. A case was then registered with Gurugram Police. 


Varun Dahiya ACP Crime Branch told ANI, "Gurugram Police with cooperation from Gujarat Police has arrested one Shakir Makrani, a resident of Vadnagar. He was influenced by Yadav; to earn money he made this plan to make extortion call."  










Elvish Yadav was the first wild card entry in the history of Bigg Boss to win the show. Already a famous YouTuber, his popularity soared in the Bigg Boss house and he won the show and took home Rs 25 lakh and the trophy.


In an interview after his win, the YiuTuber had revealed his feelings for a girl from Punjab, who chooses to remain private and away from social media. Reflecting on his entry into 'Bigg Boss OTT', Elvish had shared that he had questioned whether a wildcard entry could win. Motivated by the makers' affirmation, he aimed to make history, a goal he successfully achieved. 


After his Bigg Boss stint, he has also done a number of music videos with Urvashi Rautela, Manisha Rani and others.


Elvish has two YouTube channels - 'Elvish Yadav' with 14.5 million subscribers and 'Elvish Yadav Vlogs' with 4.75 million subscribers.
