New Delhi: Veteran actor Asha Parekh spoke about Bollywood friendship in a recent event and said that true friendships do exist in Bollywood. She gave an example of her friendship with Waheeda Rehman and Helen.

At a News18 India event, the veteran actor was asked about Kangana Ranaut's claims that Bollywood doesn’t have real friendships. Asha said, “Have you seen how close me, Waheeda ji, and Helen ji are? We have a strong friendship."

She further said that it is Kangana's choice to make friends in the industry or not. “Ab woh Kangana ji se puchiye na, ki kyu nahi hai. Aapne aisa kyu nahi pucha, ki aap aise kyu bol rahe hai (Please ask Kangana why it doesn’t exist anymore? Why did you not ask her why she made that statement)? It is a personal choice of everyone, whether they want to be friends with someone or not. So, you must ask her ki woh kyu nahi dosti karti? Mere saath toh bohot achchi hai woh (Kangana should have been asked why she does not make friends. She is very nice to me),” she said at the event.

Kangana has always spoken against a certain section of Bollywood and never shied away from saying things about the industry she feels.

On the work front, Kangana will next be seen in ‘Tejas’, scheduled to be released on October 27. The film, written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara, shows Kangana in the role of an Air Force Pilot. She went through rigorous physical training to ensure that she looked the part of an Indian fighter pilot. Gruelling fitness regimens for several hours, including strength and endurance training, formed a major part of her physical training.

She even experienced the thrill of flight simulations for months to gain insights into the physical and mental challenges of her character.
