New Delhi: Arun Govil, who portrayed Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, was present at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Monday for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. The actor travelled to the city a few days prior to the event and was present on Monday when a number of well-known faces from television and films made an appearance. Arun was unhappy, though, since he did not get a chance to perform "darshan" at the temple.

When asked how he felt about the Ram Mandir, the actor stated that it was like a dream come true, but he was unable to do "darshan," according to Bharat 24. "Mujhe darshan nahi hue, sapna toh bhaiya poora ho gaya. Main kuch nahi keh sakta iss samay (I didn't get to perform "darshan," but the dream has come true). I'm not able to comment at this time)," he stated.

Arun remarked in a different interview with NDTV that this was a divine moment that had to be felt, but when the actor was questioned about getting "darshan," he said that the temple was too packed for him to receive darshan. He added that he would like to come again to have ‘darshan’ in peace.

On social media, Arun has been posting a lot of pictures from the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, which was attended by numerous celebrities, including Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Rohit Shetty, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, and Chiranjeevi. On his social media, Arun posted a picture of himself with Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan. He also posted a picture of himself with Big B.

Talking about essaying the role of Lord Rama earlier in an interview with News 18, Arun said, "Being an actor, if you are not doing commercial cinema than you are nothing. Also, at that time starring a mythological show wasn’t considered something great. My friends and family members told me, ‘Why are you doing Ramayan? This isn’t graded work, you will get caught in this type of work.’ But I was like, ‘I don’t know. But since I have thought about it, let me to do it.’ I faced a lot of difficulty after that as an actor but I understood it later when I got a lot of love from the audience. I wouldn’t get so much love if I was a commercial actor. Now, I think if I wouldn’t have done this role, I wouldn’t have lived my life."
