Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut was slapped by a CISF constable at the Chandigarh airport. Actor Annu Kapoor, who is currently promoting his film ‘Hamare Baarah’, has now reacted to the incident. During a press conference, the actor initially tried to sidestep the topic by denying recognising her before stating that she should have taken legal action.

When the actor was asked about the incident, he said, “Yeh Kangana ji kaun hain? Please batao na kaun hain? Zaahir hai aap pooch rahe hain toh koi bahut badi heroine hongi? Sundar hain kya? (Who is this Kangana? Is she a big heroine? Is she beautiful?)”

Later, a member of the media brought up the actor's recent election as a Mandi MP, Annu responded, “Oho woh bhi ho gayi! Abhi toh bahut shaktishaali ho gayi hain. (Oh, she has become that too. She is powerful now).”

Days after winning the Bharatiya Janata Party ticket for the Lok Sabha in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Kangana Ranaut was headed to New Delhi for a conference of the National Democratic Alliance. She said that a CISF constable by the name of Kulwinder Kaur slapped her in the face while she was getting through the security checkpoint at the Chandigarh International Airport. Kangana stated that her recent comments about Khalistan were the reason behind her actions. After the incident, an FIR was lodged against Kulwinder.
