New Delhi: Since the release of the web series ‘Aashram’, Bobby Deol has transformed into an actor who never fails to captivate audiences. The actor's great acting skills and good appearance have earned him the nickname Lord Bobby. In the latest Ranbir Kapoor-starring movie ‘Animal’, the actor caused quite a stir once again with his performance.

Bobby Deol played an antagonist in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal'. He recently said in an interview that neither his father Dharmendra nor his older brother Sunny Deol had seen the movie. Meanwhile, he brought up the fact that his mother had mixed feelings about the violent film.

Bobby told Pinkvilla that his mother Prakash Kaur could not stand to see his character die in 'Animal', just like he could not see dad Dharmendra's character die in Karan Johar's ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.

He said,  “My mom couldn’t handle my death scene. She was like, ‘Aisi film mat kiya kar tu, mujhse nahi dekha jaata (You shouldn’t do films like this, I can’t watch them).” I told her, ‘Look, I’m standing in front of you, I just played a part’. But she’s very happy. The amount of phone calls she’s getting, all her friends want to meet me. Something similar happened when Aashram released.”

He also discussed the film review by his loved ones in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. “They’re feeling exactly like the audience is reacting to me. They’re naturally biased, but they’ve always believed in me as an actor and they were waiting for the right film to come my way,” he said.

Thanks to his role in Animal, Bobby has recently been all over the news. The film's worldwide gross has surpassed Rs 450 crore, and it will surpass Rs 300 crore in India today.

The action-drama has an ensemble cast including Rashmika Mandanna, Tripti Dimri, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Ranbir Kapoor.
