Amitabh Bachchan, who has been busy shooting for Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, has reportedly earned an impressive Rs 350 crore in the financial year 2024-25. With this substantial income, the actor has a tax liability of Rs 120 crore.

In recent times, Bachchan has been actively involved in buying and selling properties. Notably, in January, he purchased land in Ayodhya for a memorial dedicated to his late father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan.
According to a Pinkvilla report, Bachchan’s total income of Rs 350 crore for 2024-25 places him among the highest earners in the Indian film industry, with a tax obligation of Rs 120 crore. “From doing some of the biggest feature films of Indian Cinema to being the top pick for most of the brands – Amitabh Bachchan is an actor in demand even at the age of 82. He is also the most loved host on television with Kaun Banega Crorepati. The income from all these sources amount to Rs 350 crore, which is among the highest in the capacity of an individual in the film fraternity," a source shared with the publication.

The source further added that the actor paid the final installment of his advance tax, totalling Rs 52.50 crore, on March 15, 2025. " “He is a role model for all the Indians even today, and often makes it a point to pay all taxes on time. Amitabh Bachchan is committed to sign on for exciting projects in 2025, and leave a mark among all his fans," the source concluded.

On the property front, Amitabh Bachchan recently sold his Oshiwara apartment for Rs 83 crore, making a remarkable 168% profit, having bought it for Rs 31 crore in 2021. Additionally, he has invested over Rs 76 crore in Mumbai's real estate market, while his son Abhishek Bachchan has invested Rs 30 crore. In October 2024, father and son together purchased 10 apartments for Rs 24.95 crore and also acquired 10,000 square feet of land for Rs 10 crore.
On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ and is set to reprise his role as Ashwatthama in the second part of the film.
