New Delhi: Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently discussed her professional path, acknowledging that she has not been perfect. The 37-year-old actress talked about her struggles and decisions in the past in an Instagram Ask Me Anything (AMA) session. 


Regarding her preparation for ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’, Samantha Ruth Prabhu revealed a self-promise: to always push herself with every new role. She said, "I made a promise to myself that I'll challenge myself with every role I take on, with each challenge being more difficult than the last." 


Speaking of the mistakes in the past, she said, "I agree I made some mistakes in the past, and things haven’t really worked out, but I accept failure. I acknowledge that I might not have done my best in my last few films."


Concerning her part in Citadel: Honey Bunny, Samantha spoke highly of her performance. She said, “I’m already proud of it. I genuinely believe this is the most layered, complex, and challenging role I’ve taken on in my career. But I’ll leave it to you to decide.”

Samantha sent a video message in which she explained the connection between her weight and her health condition in response to a fan's suggestion that she "bulk up" a little. "An additional observation about my weight.  "Another weight comment. I saw an entire thread about my weight. If you must know, I am on a strict anti-inflammatory diet, which is necessary for my condition and prevents me from putting on weight. It keeps me in a certain weight bracket and helps manage my condition (myositis). Stop judging people. Let them be, live and let live. Please, it’s 2024."

Regarding her private life, Samantha's ex-husband, Naga Chaitanya, got engaged to actress Sobhita Dhulipala in a ceremony in Hyderabad on August 8, 2024. Soon, the happy pair will tie the knot. Samantha and Naga's four-year marriage ended in divorce in 2021.
