New Delhi: Jaideep Ahlawat, who was most recently seen in 'Jaane Jaan' has opened up about a rather crucial time of his life. In a recent chat, he admitted that he agreed to watch 'Raazi' only because Meghna Gulzar and Alia Bhatt threatened to block his number. Jaideep also shared that he is often unable to watch himself on screen because he gets disappointed by his own performances.

In a conversation with his 'Jaane Jaan' co-star Saurabh Sachdeva, Jaideep shared his experience on 'Raazi' and said that for the first time in his life, he began having nightmares because of work. "It’s normal to be affected by work. With me, I started having nightmares during Raazi for the first time ever. I never used to have nightmares. But because I was so entrenched in the world of espionage at the time, because I had read up so much on the subject, I got scared. For the first time in my life, I would wake up with a start at night. I would see people running from guns and bombs.” he shared in Hindi.

Also adding that he has not seen almost 80% of his finished work, he said in the same interaction, "I watched Raazi only after Meghna and Alia threatened to block my number. I went for the fourth screening."

Jaideep also recalled an anecdote from the set. He said that on the final day of shoot in Patiala, they were running out of time and he had to perform a close-up shot.  Meghna Gulzar could not watch it on the monitor, and he was told that would shoot three different takes and was confident he would nail it. He said that the pressure put him in a different gear.

In 'Raazi', Jaideep Ahlawat played a spy's handler and Alia Bhatt played the spy. The film marked a critical moment of success in Alia Bhatt's career as the film became a box office and critical success.
