New Delhi: Since its announcement in 2021, Alia Bhatt's Eternal Sunshine Productions has produced three films. In ‘Darlings’ and ‘Jigra’, Alia plays the primary role, but in ‘Poachers’, she does not. How does the actor choose which roles to play the lead in and which to produce? In an interaction with Pinkvilla, Alia Bhatt shared that she does not fit every role.

Alia Bhatt on not fitting every part

"Do you fit the part? That's the most important question. I don't think I fit every part, you know, so sometimes...and I'm working on a lot of stuff right now, which I'm not acting in. In fact, I see other mainstream actresses as well while we are creating them. I'm like, 'Oh, this will be great for this one'...or actors." She told the publication.

"So, (it is) something that very naturally happens. Even when I am in a film, I don't look at it only from my character's point of view. So how is everybody sitting in this? So yeah, are you right for the part?" She added.

About coming on board as Producer for Poacher

About coming on board as a producer for 'Poacher', Alia Bhatt said, “Well, the journey with Poacher is a little different because I came on board after its creation, but the intention with which I came on board is the same as with the films like Darlings or a film like Jigra which is its emotional core. It’s what it did to me as a person, what I responded like after watching the show was not as an executive producer, as a human being because I am an audience first then all the other titles come along.”

“And, what can you do to make sure that everybody watches it and everybody consumes the content because it’s content that needs to be consumed and it’s also very entertaining. So, number 1 emotion and number 2 entertainment of course and that combination when it comes together, you get Poacher.” Bhatt added.

Richie Mehta, an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, developed, wrote, and directed ‘Poachers’, which is produced by the Oscar-winning production company QC Entertainment. Alia Bhatt serves as the show's executive producer.
