New Delhi: Actor-comedian Vir Das is scheduled to take the stage on Saturday at the Apollo Theatre in London. He most recently earned an International Emmy Award for his stand-up special, 'Vir Das: Landing'. As part of his current Mind Fool tour, he will perform live for a crowd of about five thousand. 


Selena Gomez, David Bowie, Iron Maiden, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones have all performed at the Apollo Theatre. Legendary comedian Louis C.K. has also graced the stage.


Talking about his upcoming show, Vir Das said, "Stepping onto the Apollo Theatre stage is not just a personal triumph; it's a momentous occasion for Indian comedy. The energy of this historic venue, which has hosted musical legends and comedy icons alike, is both exhilarating and humbling.”


“As I stand before a live audience of almost 5,000 people, I am driven by a desire to connect, to bring joy, and to be a bridge between cultures. The Mind Fool tour is my way of spreading laughter across borders, and I can't wait to share this experience with audiences around the world," he added. 


Vir Das' journey, which will take him through 37 Indian cities and 33 nations, is expected to be a celebration of diverse cultures.


Das bagged the International Emmy Award for Best Comedy series which he shared with UK comedy series 'Derry Girls'.

Meanwhile, Vir Das has appeared in several Hindi films, including ‘Badmaash Compan (2010), Delhi Belly (2011) and Go Goa Gone (2013).
