Negative rumours about Imran Khan

"Even if you’re not on social media, they’re still legacy media. I get newspapers at the house. My mom, my aunts, and that generation who still get the newspaper at home, would see the images and would be disturbed by it.” Imran told India Today.

“They would see the images, captions, and news, which implied that I was taking drugs or something. It was disturbing. It’s complicated then to have that conversation with your parents, with your family and say, ‘Look, I can’t manage what those people say and what they do.’ People say these things without consideration, without a thought of how they land,” he added.

Imran Khan's Bollywood comeback

On the other hand, Imran Khan is all set to make his Bollywood return after a nine-year break, making a 2.0 move in his career. “I’m having these conversations with writers, directors, and producers. I’m trying to find something that really sparks. I guess at this point, two stories have kind of resonated with me, which I’m developing with the directors, but they’re not close to a full project yet. So, I don’t have a proper film that I have signed or a show that I have signed that I’m committed to yet.” Imran told the same publication.

While earlier it was being reported that Imran would star in Vir Das's directorial debut 'Happy Patel', he dismissed the rumours, In an interaction with Times Entertainment, he said, “It’s not true. Vir Das is directing and starring in Happy Patel. I am not in the film. They have just used a photograph of me as part of an in-film joke.” This left Imran Khan’s fans disheartened, who are eagerly awaiting his comeback after a long gap. He was last seen in 'Katti Batti' in 2015.
