New Delhi: Abhishek Banerjee has become a popular actor thanks to his roles in the Maddock Supernatural Universe films like 'Stree', 'Bhediya', 'Stree 2', and the OTT series 'Paatal Lok'. While the actor has also been seen in films like 'Dream Girl', 'Dream Girl 2', 'Rashmi Rocket' and the more recent release like 'Vedaa', Banerjee has been in the entertainment industry for quite some time.


Recently, a clip of the actor from a very iconic film went viral on social media. Abhishek Banerjee is seen in a short cameo in a scene from Aamir Khan’s film ‘Rang De Basanti’ and we simply cannot get enough.


The video was shared by a portal with a caption that read, "Rang De Basanti X Stree Universe."


Soon after the video clip was shared, fans were quick to appreciate the versatil actor. Netizens flooded the comments section with appreciation for Banerjee.

Meanwhile, 'Rang De Basanti' was directed by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra and starred Aamir Khan, Siddharth Narayan, Kunal Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan, Madhavan, Sharma Joshi, Atul Kulkarni and British actor Alice Patten.


Filmed on a budget of Rs. 25 cr. across Mumbai, Rajasthan, New Delhi and Punjabi, the film was about a British documentary maker who came to India to make a film on Indian freedom fighters based on her grandfather's diary notes.


A big success upon its release, 'Rang De Basanti' also received critical appreciation and has over the years acquired quite some cult status.

On the other hand, Abhishek Banerjee, has been pursuing a career in acting ever since his college days.


His first film appearance was in 'Rang De Basanti'. Post the film, he worked in 'Knock Out', 'The Dirty Picture' and 'No One Killed Jessica' as a casting director.


Banerjee later worked several short roles in notable films like 'Bombay Talkies'. However, it was not until 'Stree' literally came knocking on his doors, that he found major acclaim and success.
