Actor Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan have made headlines for purchasing residential properties worth nearly Rs 25 crore in Mulund West, Mumbai, as reported by Square Yards.

Mulund West is a prime residential area known for its excellent connectivity to both the central and western regions of the city.


In a statement on Thursday, the real estate consultancy firm confirmed that the Bachchans had acquired properties totaling Rs 24.95 crore in Oberoi Realty's premium residential project, Eternia. These properties include ready-to-move 3 BHK and 4 BHK apartments.


The newly purchased units span a combined carpet area of 10,216 square feet, with 10 apartments in total — eight with a carpet area of 1,049 square feet each, and two measuring 912 square feet per unit. Each transaction includes two parking spaces, and a stamp duty of Rs 1.50 crore was paid for the deal.

Abhishek Bachchan acquired six apartments for Rs 14.77 crore, while Amitabh Bachchan bought four apartments, according to the reviewed registration documents.

Earlier this year, Amitabh Bachchan purchased a 10,000-square-foot plot of land in Alibaug for Rs 10 crore from The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL) as part of a project called "A Alibaug." In addition to this, the actor reportedly bought land in Ayodhya in January.


Last year, Amitabh made headlines again when he gifted his Juhu bungalow, ‘Prateeksha,’ to his daughter Shweta Nanda. The iconic property, located in Mumbai's upscale suburbs, is valued at over Rs 50.63 crore.
