New Delhi: Each year Billboard Music Award recognises the best musicians and bands in the industry for their outstanding work in the studio and on the charts. During the 2022 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs), the K-pop superstar BTS set a new record. The boy band made history by winning three out of the six prizes they were nominated for the song ‘Butter’.
Destiny's Child had previously held the record for the most Billboard Music Awards won by a group. As of now, the BTS group has won 12 awards, breaking the girl band, Destiny's Child's 17-year-old record of 11. BTS took home awards for the Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist and Top Selling Song.
