New Delhi: BTS has decided to enrol in the military after months of rumours and counter-rumours. The oldest, Jin, will lead the group into service, and they all have commitments until 2025 when they will regroup. Jin has decided to join before year's end, but the rest of the band has yet to finalise preparations with their record company.

While chatting with a fan on Weverse, BTS member Jin hinted about a forthcoming enlistment date, however, he has not yet confirmed it.

A fan inquired whether he was looking forward to his upcoming birthday on December 4, and the singer said that he would be fighting in a war by then and wouldn't be able to spend it with his fans as he usually would.

To those who are unaware, new recruits in the South Korean army spend the first five weeks of their service in a training facility before being sent to their permanent bases. The Republic of Korea Army recruits the vast majority of its new soldiers at the Korea Army Training Center in Nonsan, South Chungcheong.

Military stance, fighting skills, and first aid training are only some of the subjects covered during the first five weeks of training before recruits are placed in their permanent divisions.

Meanwhile, on October 28, Jin released his first album under his own name - ‘The Astronaut’. The song has been successful in reaching big positions on music charts all across the world, whether they be local or international.
