New Delhi: Although three members of the biggest K-pop group BTS have already released solo albums and projects, fans are eager to find out who will be next. BTS member Jimin is preparing to take the lead with his solo album dubbed ‘FACE,’ following in the footsteps of BTS leader RM, rapper Jhope, and vocalist Jin, all of whom have set new records with their solo efforts.
The CEO of HYBE, Park Ji-won, has announced that Jimin would indeed release his solo album in March. The album's release date was announced in a statement from Big Hit as well.
According to BigHit Music's statement, "Hello, This is BigHit Music. BTS member Jimin will be releasing his first solo album FACE. FACE is all about Jimin facing himself head-on as he gets ready for his next step as a solo artist. Jimin will see the fans through various activities including the FACE release so we ask for your continued interest and support for Jimin's first official solo activity. Pre-order Date: From 11 AM, Wednesday, February 22, 2023 (KST) Release date: From 1 PM, Friday, March 24, 2023 (KST). Thank you."
In addition, the first teaser was released, which focuses on a few drips of water that eventually form the word "Face" in the background of a dark pool.
Not long after the teaser's first social media explosion, ARMY flooded the Twitter with expressions of curiosity.
Meanwhile, Jimin has recently worked with Taeyang of Big Bang on their popular song ‘VIBE.’
BTS member Jin (Kim Seokjin), is presently doing his military obligation as required by South Korean law. Several Korean news sites claim that Jin has graduated from the Division Recruit centre and is currently serving as a commander.
The remaining members of the group — RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook — all want to serve in the military in their own personal schedules and preferences.
