As Janhvi Kapoor starrer ‘Roohi’ hits the theatres her father got emotional and is looking forward for the film’s positive response from the auidence. Boney had watched the film some time ago and is extremely proud of his daughter.

While talking to SpotboyE, he told, “It goes  into the horror-comedy genre. It has genuinely scary and genuinely LOL moments. Audiences would either have a good laugh over the spooky content, or else, there are some whose faith in the supernatural would be strengthened.”

“Janhvi  is working so  hard, she  wants to get  better with every film. Her mother  would have been  proud of her,” added an emotional Boney while remembering his late wife and Janhvi’s mom, the legendary actress Sridevi.

Boney Kapoor also revealed that Janhvi had discussed Roohi and he immediately told her to do it.

Meanwhile, Boney Kapoor who is all set to play actor Ranbir Kapoor’s father in  Luv Ranjan’s  next, also expressed his desire of portraying his own daughter’s father on screen someday.

“Rather than see someone else play Janhvi’s father I’d like to do the needful,” said Boney to the entertainment portal.

On a related note, horror-comedy Roohi, starring Janhvi Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma is the first 'big' film to release in theatres after the coronavirus-induced lockdown which had led to the shutting down of theatres.
