The ‘Ijaazat’ actor is a notable personality in the Indian ‘parallel cinema’ and has won plenty of awards in his career including 3 National Awards. He has also won an award at the ‘Venice Film Festival’. For his benefaction in the Indian Film Industry, the Government of India has honoured him with the prestigious ‘Padma Shri’ and ‘Padma Bhushan’ awards.

Anil Kapoor ahs posted a picture of him and Naseeruddin during the shoot of their film ‘Who 7 Din’ and expressed how the ‘Sarfarosh’ actor has been an inspiration for him. Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha also took to his Twitter to wish the actor on his birthday. Sinha added how he desires to write a script worthy for the ‘Iqbal’ actor someday. On the work front, Naseeruddin Shah will be next seen starring in Anant Mahadevan’s ‘The Storyteller’ reportedly. The film also stars Paresh Rawal in the lead role.
