New Delhi: Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Parineeti Chopra, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta starrer 'Uunchai' continues to do well at the box office thanks to positive word-of-mouth reviews. Meanwhile, Samantha Ruth Prabhu starrer 'Yashoda' also has been getting traction over the weekend. As per film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, 'Uunchai' has done better on Monday than Friday. Taking to his official Twitter handle, Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Uunchai maintains a strong grip on Day 4… Passes the crucial make-or-break Mon test… Mon HIGHER than Fri, despite reduced ticket rates on weekdays… Evening shows witness better occupancy… Fri 1.81 cr, Sat 3.64 cr, Sun 4.71 cr, Mon 1.88 cr. Total: ₹ 12.04 cr. #India biz."

Earlier, although the film had released on some 432 screens on Day 1, with good performance over the weekend, the increased footfalls have led distributors and national chains to collectively increase the screen count in Week 2.

Meanwhile, as per Taran Adarsh, 'Uunchai's opening weekend collection overseas is $ 501 k( Rs. 4.08 cr). 'Uunchai's performance at the box office has proven that a good yet small film can make a market for itself. With the backing of a solid star cast including veterans like Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher and Boman Irani, Sarika and Neena Gupta, the film has definitely created an audience for itself.

Meanwhile, Samantha Ruth Prabhu's 'Yashoda' created a decent box office collection of Rs. 20 crores in the opening weekend. The medical thriller in which Samantha plays the role of a surrogate mother saw a slight dip on Monday but continues to do well in the international markets ( especially the US, UK), reported The Indian Express.

The same report also suggested that 'Yashoda' made Rs. 1 cr on Monday alone. Samantha led-film continues to shine and her loyal fan following across diasporas like US, UK and Malaysia has made 'Yashoda' among the most-watched films there.

Other than Samantha Ruth Prabhu, ‘Yashoda’ stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan and Sampath Raj in pivotal roles.

'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' also saw a drop on Monday being a weekday and collected around Rs. 4.25 cr net and took the business of the film to Rs. 43.50 net in India. This Marvel film like all other MCY films have outdone regional films and Bollywood releases like 'Uunchai'

A BoxOfficeIndia.com report said of 'Black Panther' business, "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever had a good weekend as it grossed 39 crore net plus over its first weekend. The film did not go up on Sunday but that is not much of a surprise as it happens with Hollywood films."

"The hold of the film has to be good on Monday for it to emerge as a HIT film. The collections of Wakanda Forever over the first weekend are as follows.. Friday - 11,75,00,000 approx.. Saturday - 13,75,00,000 approx.. Sunday - 13,75,00,000 approx.. TOTAL - 39,25,00,000 approx," the report added.
