Last year, the crew made a short film for a newly built restaurant in Sircilla. VHP chairman filed the complaint with Rajanna Sircilla.

The case was later moved to the Banjara Hills police station. The Banjara Hills Police Station issued a warning to the actor for her unequivocal remark that she would offend Hindu gods and their devotees.

The short film crew was summoned to the police station today for interrogation. In an interview with ETimes, she stated, “I have come to the police station now to meet the complainant and know what the real problem is."

Sarayu was detained with the short film's producer and director, Srikanth Reddy, as well as the actors Karthik and Krishna Mohan.

Sarayu is well-known for her contentious social media posts. She said that after her eviction from Bigg Boss house, supporters of other players assaulted her.
