New Delhi: Famous rapper and 'Bigg Boss 16' winner MC Stan reflected on his career in music and how he rose to fame in show business. The native of Pune, Maharashtra, fell in love with music after hearing Qawwali played at his house, and after releasing his debut track, "Wata," in 2018, he never looked back.
He shared: "Since childhood, I was used to listening to Qawwali a lot because my father used to play them all the time. I was not even aware of what kind of music was being created in foreign lands. Then I came across the rap culture where I heard people saying English words pretty fast and somewhere I got connected to it and I found it very cool."
The 'Bigg Boss 16' champion, who is renowned for his distinctive clothing choices and hairstyles, went on to discuss his relationship with rap music and his ideas for popularising it in India.
"I actually could relate to it as rap emerged from black people's struggles of coming out of poverty. So I thought of taking it up in my mother language Hindi and portraying my roots and values through rap," he added.
MC Stan made an appearance on "The Kapil Sharma Show" alongside well-known internet celebrities Harsh Gujaral, Dolly Singh, and Bhuvan Bam. During the performance, MC Stan discussed the inspiration for one of his well-known songs, "Khuja Mat," and how it came to be.
He revealed: "The song was not the result of such an idea. My friend and I were engaged in a feud, so we started rapping. He made fun of each other competitively. I decided to bash him in this rap that I wrote."

MC Stan recently celebrated Sania's career by giving a live performance on the historic occasion in Hyderabad.
