Mumbai: Actor Saahil Chadha, who portrayed the role of Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini’s son in the movie ‘Baghban’, met with a road accident. The actor and his wife Promila suffered injuries after being hit by an ambulance.


Saahil Chadha and Promila were reportedly heading towards their car after completing a meeting near Xavier’s College in Mumbai. This is when the couple was hit by an ambulance from behind and Saahil got dragged by the ambulance for two feet, according to a report of Times Of India.

Saahil Chadha, who is currently admitted to the hospital revealed that luckily the ambulance was not driving too fast and that the police has nabbed the driver of the ambulance. He further told TOI, “I practise Buddhism and feel that a big undesirable and much worse incident has been averted in my life. I am under observation for the next few days no doubt, but God has been kind. Whatever happened was extremely shocking and scary.”


While Saahil is currently in the hospital, his wife Promila is staying at her cousin’s place. She suffered two fractures in the leg.


Both Saahil and Promila also tested positive for COVID-19 in the month of April and was under home quarantine for 20 days. The couple has recovered from the virus a few days back.


Speaking on the professional front, Saahil Chadha has worked in films like ‘Baghban’, ‘Section 375’ and others.
