New Delhi: With films like 'Badhaai Do' and 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' dealing with the topics of LGBT+, Bollywood is trying to make the audience sensitive towards the feelings of the queer groups and encourage their acceptance in the society. Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer 'Badhaai Do', that released worldwide on February 11, is garnering a lot of appreciation for its storyline that highlights the acceptance of queer couples in the society.
Rajkummar and Bhumi play the roles of homosexuals who get into a marital relationship for the society's acceptance but eventually, come out with their real identities in front of their families and ultimately go on to live a happy life with their respective partners. The film beautifully deals with the issue faced by queer couples and the wrath that they have to face on coming out with their real identity.
Recently, a social media user took to Instagram to express views on the issues faced by a queer person while watching films with a LGBT+ storyline, in theatres. Sharing a post that narrated an incident that took place when the user went to watch the film in theatre, the person talked about the challenges faced by people like him. The user wote, "Did you also face anything interesting/weird/awkward while watching LGBT+ movies in a theatre ? (Shubh Mangal Zada Savdhan/Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui/Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga)
