Mumbai: Indian hockey player Vandana Katariya’s family has been facing casteist treatment from a section of the society. Ever since the Indian women’s hockey team lost to Argentina at the Tokyo Olympics on August 4, reportedly some men gathered outside Vandana Katariya’s house and hurled casteist slurs at her family.

Known personalities have condemned this act on their social media and showed their support to Vandana Katariya and her family. Ayushmann Khurrana is one such celebrity who slammed this act. Sharing a picture of Vandana on his Instagram story, the ‘Anek’ actor wrote, “Hurling casteist slurs on someone who has given her all for the nation is the worst form of disrespect.
