New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s son Aryan Khan is ready to make his debut in the entertainment industry, not as an actor but as a filmmaker. He has already launched his own clothing brand and directed an advertisement starring his father, SRK. Aryan Khan's debut directorial project is titled 'Stardom'. The online series is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. It will consist of 6 episodes. The show is currently under development and is scheduled to begin filming in 2023.
Pinkvilla quoted a source saying, “Aryan is penning a script, with a bunch of writers, for Red Chillies Entertainment’s web series. One of them is Lior Raz. The work has already begun on the project and it may kick off by the end of the year. Aryan wants to learn the process of filmmaking. He wants to kick off his career as a writer first before he dives into direction.”
Lior Raz directed the Emmy-winning and highly lauded ‘Fauda’, a political thriller series. Also in 2017, Fauda was named the best international show by the New York Times. The source added, “Multiple actors have been giving auditions for the web series and going by the rate at which the work has started, the show may go on the floor by the end of the year.”
Aryan Khan, apart from this, has just directed his father Shah Rukh Khan in an advertisement film. Aryan discussed his experience on set with his father. "Working with my father is never challenging," he told Harper's Bazaar, "because his experience and dedication make everyone's job on set easier." He also makes everyone on the crew feel at ease and has a high regard for everyone. When he's on set, I always pay close attention so I don't miss anything I can learn."
More information about Aryan Khan's debut work is yet to come.
On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan is currently gearing up for his next big release 'Jawan', directed by Atlee. The movie marks the Bollywood debut of South actress Nayanthara.
