In a major relief, the Bombay High Court on Thursday granted bail to Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and other accused Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha who were nabbed in the cruise ship rave party raided by the Narcotics Control Bureau.
While granting a conditional bail to the trio, Justice N.W. Sambre passed the operative order and the detailed order is expected on Friday.
Meanwhile, former attorney general Mukul Rohatgi, who represented Aryan at the Bombay High Court, revealed on Shah Rukh Khan had ‘tears of joy’ after Aryan was granted bail.
The lawyer told NDTV, “The father had tears of joy in his eyes." He further said, "He (Shah Rukh Khan) has been very, very worried the last three-four days that I was there and I'm not even sure whether he had proper meals. He was just having coffee after coffee. And he was very, very worried. And I could see a big sense of relief, yeah, on the father's face last time I met him.”
Rohatgi further revealed that SRK was trying to tell him Aryan’s background. “He is not a lawyer but a person with strong common sense and perception. He was trying to tell me the background, whatever it was, where his son studied, whom did he know, what were the chats about,” he added.
Another report states that Aryan’s mom Gauri Khan was reportedly crying on the phone while speaking to her close industry friends Maheep Kapoor and Seema Khan soon after the bail news broke. Several actors from Bollywood including Sonu Sood, Malaika Arora and others offered their support and express gratitude after the star-son was granted bail on Thursday.
