New mommy of Bollywood Anushka Sharma, who is currently in England with cricketer-husband Virat Kohli and daughter Vamika, is raising awareness about embracing circular fashion.

According to a report in etimes, Anushka is kickstarting the initiative by putting up her maternity clothes for an online sale, through a foundation named SNEHA.

The earnings from Anushka Sharma's online sale will go towards supporting maternal health, and save 2.5 lakh litres of water. She said in a statement that she hopes for this to kickstart a 'circular economy' in the 'fashion system'.

Speaking about her initiative, Anushka told ETimes that the idea struck her during her pregnancy. "This is a very simple way that each of us can live kinder lives. By sharing pieces back into the circular fashion system and shopping preloved, we have a huge positive impact on the environment. During my pregnancy, I thought this phase in our lives is uniquely suited to participate in the circular economy. So I hope we can kickstart this ecosystem together,” she says, adding, “For instance, if even just 1 percent of pregnant women in urban India bought one piece of preloved maternity clothing over newly manufactured, each year we can conservatively save about as much water as a person drinks in over 200 years! This is a way in which a small action of each individual can make a real difference".

Meanwhile Anushka recently shared an adorable picture of enjoying a quick breakfast with her hubby Virat amidst his busy schedule. While sharing this adorable picture, Anushka wrote, “When you sneak in a quick breakfast and feel mighty victorious”.

The actress gave birth to her first child Vamika earlier this year on January 11. Anushka also got a new haircut recently. She took to Instagram to share new selfies flaunting her blob haircut. The actress revealed she was facing postpartum hair loss woes and that she is happy with a good haircut.
