New Delhi: Actress Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli took a spiritual trip to Rishikesh ahead of India's Test series against Australia. The couple visited Swami Dayanand Giri Ashram. The pictures of the couple are doing the round on the Internet.

In the pictures, Anushka and Virat are seen worshipping at the ashram. Virat also obliged other devotees with selfie requests at the ashram.

According to the ANI report, Virat and Anushka will also participate in public religious rituals at the ashram and then organise a bhandara (religious feast).

Anushka was seen in a grey-coloured warm suit and Virat was wearing a cap and a muffler. The couple’s daughter Vamika was not photographed with them.

Virat and Anushka's visit to Rishikesh comes days after the duo along with their daughter Vamika sought blessings at an ashram in Vrindavan.

Anushka will be next seen in the sports drama, Chakda Xpress. The film is inspired by the incredible story of one of the fastest female pacers in the history of world cricket, Jhulan Goswami as she moves up the ladder, despite the countless hindrances, to fulfil her only dream -- to play cricket. The actress has wrapped the shooting of the film which will release on Netflix.

Australia is set to tour India in the coming few days for a four-game Test series, popularly known as the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023. The series will begin on 9th February in Nagpur while the ODIs will kickstart on March 17 in Mumbai.

Virat and Anushka tied the knot on December 11, 2017 in Borgo Finocchieto, an 800-year-old village-turned-villa that was renovated and turned into a boutique property.

The two dated for a few years before they parted ways but, cupid stood by their side as they eventually tied the nuptial knot and became parents to their daughter Vamika in 2021.
