New Delhi: Actress Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli are on a spiritual trip to Rishikesh. The couple visited Swami Dayanand Giri Ashram and also organised a bhandara in the ashram for 100 saints. Pictures of the duo during the religious feast are doing the rounds on social media.
In the pictures, Anushka and Virat are seen seeking the blessings of the saints who were sitting on the ground during the bhandara. Virat and Anushka sought their blessings with folded hands while the food was being served. Virat wore trousers with a sweater, and Anushka was seen in a white salwar suit with a floral shawl.
Virat and Anushka's visit to Rishikesh comes days after the duo along with their daughter Vamika sought blessings at an ashram in Vrindavan.
Anushka also shared a series of photos from their trek to a mountain with their daughter Vamika. Sharing the photos on Instagram, Anushka wrote, “There’s a mountain in the mountains and there is no one at the top ….”
In one of the photos, Virat can be seen trekking with Vamika on his back and in another photo he is seen holding Vamika as she splashes her hands in the river.
Anushka will be next seen in the sports drama, Chakda Xpress. The film is inspired by the incredible story of one of the fastest female pacers in the history of world cricket, Jhulan Goswami as she moves up the ladder, despite the countless hindrances, to fulfil her only dream -- to play cricket. The actress has wrapped the shooting of the film which will release on Netflix.
Virat Kohli will next be playing Test series against Australia. Australia is set to tour India in the coming few days for a four-game Test series, popularly known as the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023. The series will begin on 9th February in Nagpur while the ODIs will kickstart on March 17 in Mumbai.
Virat and Anushka tied the knot on December 11, 2017 in Borgo Finocchieto, an 800-year-old village-turned-villa that was renovated and turned into a boutique property.
The two dated for a few years before they parted ways but, cupid stood by their side as they eventually tied the nuptial knot and became parents to their daughter Vamika in 2021.
