New Delhi: Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan gave a close friend in Saudi Arabia the jacket he wore in the classic 1988 film ‘Shahenshah’. Big B recently tweeted about how he was able to rescue the jacket that was such a trend in the 80s and 90s.


‘Shahenshah’ starred Amitabh Bachchan as Vijay Kumar Srivastava, a dishonest police officer by day and a vigilante at night. He shared the screen alongside such stars as Meenakshi Sheshadri, Pran, Aruna Irani, Prem Chopra, Amrish Puri, Kader Khan, Supriya Pathak, and Avtar Gill. In the movie theatres, the film did quite well.


On Twitter, Big B's friend expressed his gratitude to the movie legend for the present. He wrote, "@SrBachchan To the legendary and one of the best actors in the entertainment world in all time, You are an honour not to India only but to the world. Thank you for the gift that you sent it means a lot."


Amitabh retweeted it with the words: "My dear and most considerate friend .. I am so honoured that you have received the gift of the jacket with the steel arm that I wore in my film SHAHENSHAH .. some day I shall tell you how I was able to retrieve it .. my love to you .."



Recently, Amitabh got hurt on the set of 'Project K' in Hyderabad. The actor posted a health update on his blog in which he discussed his condition. The 80-year-old actor tore a muscle in his right rib cage during the shoot. According to reports, the production of the movie had to be postponed as a result of the incident.


'Project K' is one of the most anticipated releases of 2023. Starring Prabhas in the lead role, the film also marks Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani's debut in the South.


Aswhini Dutt penned the script for ‘Project K’. Directed by Nag Ashwin, 'Project K' is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. Project K will released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
