Mumbai: Since Sunday evening, rumours of the death of the popular Bollywood actress of the 80s and 90s Meenakshi Seshadri have been doing rounds. Various speculations were being made about her death. Amid the rising cases of COVID-19, it was also being speculated that the actress died due to coronavirus.


Putting an end to such negative news related to herself, Meenakshi Seshadri has given an update through social media. The actress lives with her husband and two children in the US city of Dallas. Meenakshi shared a photo via her official Instagram handle and wrote, ‘Dance Pose!’

With this post, she put a stop to all the rumours related to her death.


Meenakshi Seshadri made her debut in the film industry with the 1983 film ‘Painter Babu’. The actress gained recognition when she starred in the 1983 movie 'Hero' opposite Jackie Shroff. She then went on to star in several other successful movies. She retired from acting in the year 1995 after marrying investment banker Harish Mysore. Meenakshi got settled in America and is the mother of a son and a daughter. She also runs a dance school in Dallas, Texas, USA where she teaches Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Odissi.


Other than ‘Painter Babu’, Meenakshi Seshadri has starred in movies like ‘Hero’, ‘Meri Jung’, ‘Ghayal’, ‘Ghatak’, ‘Damini’ and others.
